Each of our preschool classes is staffed by a team of two teachers. Teachers are trained in CPR and Pediatric First Aid and receive training in the use of Dr. Becky Bailey’s Conscious Discipline. Our teachers model a life-long love of learning by attending and leading workshops and conferences. We meet the staff qualifications required for NAEYC accreditation, with more than 95% of our teachers degreed, 75% of which are in education or a related field. 80% of our teachers have worked in a NAEYC accredited program for more than 3 years.

Amy Witte

Education:

Experience:

Amy has been a part of the St. Mark's Nursery School and Kindergarten community since 1999 as a parent, a teacher and a substitute teacher (and some years all three at the same time.) She has taught in the young 2's, the older 2's and the 3's, as well as substituted in almost every other class. She has four children, all of whom attended school at St. Mark's.

Getting to know Amy...

Amy really enjoys working with the young children and getting to witness their amazing growth (physically, verbally, socially) from the beginning of the school year to the end. This is an exciting time in their lives and she feels very fortunate to get to be a part of it. She loves to come up with different sensory experiences for the kids and you never know what you'll see in the sensory table or what you will find added to the play-dough and paint.
