Teaching through the Tactile Table

Entering our classrooms you will find a wide variety of activities presented for the children in our tactile tables.  These pictures were taken in one day, wandering from our “Onesies” room to our kindergarten.  Our Onesies have texture blocks in their table; the two/threes were able to run their fingers and hands through the marble-sized “water gems,” feeling different textures and temperatures.  The three/fours washed babies, and our kindergarten class had cocoa mulch to work with, adding the sense of smell to this sensory experience.
